Today, Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) visited the Cvent headquarters in McLean, VA to celebrate the expansion of our office headquarters. The new space will accommodate the 190 new employees Cvent plans to hire in 2011, and features a spacious new kitchen, additional conference rooms, and better views of the surrounding Northern Virginia landscape (we're pretty excited about it, if you couldn't tell!). Sen. Warner's speech this afternoon focused on how businesses such as Cvent have contributed to the economic recovery in the U.S., and he stressed how technological innovation across the country has helped pave the road to full recovery. Innovation will continue to create jobs and help the United States stay competitive in the global economy; in March alone, the U.S. economy added 216,000 jobs.

- Don’t be afraid of failure
- Be open to new and different ideas (even if they are from your opponents!)
- Be an agent for change by taking a stand on political issues and understanding who your elected officials are. Whether we like it or not, they impact our lives.
