In today's tough economy, your meeting attendees are likely finding it more difficult to register "Yes" for your meeting and events. After all, their budgets have been cut and their time is especially precious, so it's going to take even more work on your part to convince them that attending your event will be worthwhile.
One way to do this is to use a pre-event survey during your online registration process. If you aren't sure where to start, consider some of these pre-event survey question examples:
• How did you hear about this event?
• Is this the first time you have attended this event?
• Please list the topics you are interested in hearing about at this event.
• What do you hope to gain from this event?
By gathering pre-event feedback from your attendees, you'll know exactly what they hope and expect to get out of your conference, tradeshow, etc. Incorporate their thoughts into crafting an event they'll find valuable. You'll not only end up with happy attendees who feel it was worth their money and time, but also with ones who will be returning next year.
