Hilton Pensacola Named Green Hotel

The Hilton Pensacola Beach Gulf Front has been named a green hotel by the Florida Green Lodging Program. It is the first hotel in the Pensacola Bay Area to receive this recognition.

Launched in 2004 by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), the Florida Green Lodging Program recognizes environmentally conscious hotels and lodging venues in the state. As of February 13, 2009, 419 properties have been designated green.

Fewer than 30 minutes from the Pensacola Regional Airport, the Hilton Pensacola Beach Gulf Front offers 272 rooms and 91 tower suites as well as 30,000 square feet of meeting space. Business travelers also enjoy complimentary wireless high-speed Internet access, two dual-line phones with voicemail and data ports and more in each room.
