For most events and meetings, it's common to have a lot of printed materials for attendees. In today's eco-conscious world, this practice does not often sit well, with planners or with event attendees. After all, thousands of trees are cut down just so your event presentations and documents can be printed.

To help event planners address this issue and make their meetings greener, Cvent has released a new feature that allows you to easily post documents, handouts, PowerPoint presentations and more on your event website. Planners can also email attendees a link to presentations or handouts before or after an event via the Cvent Event Management product. These emails can be scheduled and automatically sent, costing the planner no extra time or effort.

In addition to being environmentally friendly, this feature can save organizations a lot of money on printing and shipping costs. Printing in color is expensive, and printing in black and white, while more cost effective, doesn’t always look as good or as professional. Distributing documents electronically is a great compromise— attendees can access quality, appealing color presentations at a much lower cost to the event organizer.
