Roommate matching has always been an important task for event planners scheduling overnight accommodations. In a tough economy where more and more attendees are looking to share rooms, the ability to offer roommate matching is even more critical.

Cvent's Event Management system makes it easy to planners and attendees to select and manage roommate requests for events. Planners can require roommates or make them optional to attendees. When registering for an event, attendees can select a roommate from a list of registrants or a list of all event invitees, or choose to add themselves to the list of roommate options. Attendees can also designate same-sex and/or smoking preferences.



If you don't want to automate the roommate matching process, you have the option of doing the matching on your end based on the data entered by attendees.
