Bermuda: A Place Like No Other for Incentives

BermudaWith its candy colored buildings and charming traditions, Bermuda conjures up images of loving honeymoon couples...but Bermuda also has much to offer for corporate groups. The best news is that it's only 2 hours form New York and 2 1/2 hours from Toronto.

Bermuda is small enough to get around and explore easily and large enough to offer a variety of experiences. As Bermuda is located in the Atlantic Ocean, water sports enthusiasts can go snorkeling, sailing, and scuba diving. There are ship wrecks and coral reefs to explore. Whale watching and glass bottom boat rides give a close-up view of marine life.

For members of your party who are interested in equestrian sports, there are a number of places in Bermuda where visitors can go horse riding. Golfers will be pleased by the world class golf courses. There is also enough nightlife to keep the party crowd happy.

Historical sites include St.George, a fortified historical town that has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage. Dating back to the early 17th century, St. George is the oldest continuously occupied English community in the Western Hemisphere. Verdmont a mansion built in 1710 gives a glimpse into a bygone era.

Museums and galleries include Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo,  and The Bermuda National Gallery.

Bermuda is also a shopper's paradise. Visitors can browse for antiques, crystal, china, jewelry, arts, crafts and local treasures in the fashionable boutiques of Hamilton.

Interesting meeting venues include the Royal Naval Dockyard and the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute with 2 boardrooms and a 148-seat theater. Bermuda National Trust manages a collection of heritage buildings that can be used for private events.

Bermuda has 9 hotels and resorts with meeting facilities as well as a cottage colony.
