Today is Bastille Day in France and, over the weekend, there were Bastille Day celebrations in many U.S. cities. It's an ideal time to shine our spotlight on a unique destination for incentive trips and executive retreats in France.
Castelnau des Fieumarcon, France is a lush, fortified stronghold (settlement) that dates back to the 13th century. It was built by British feudal Lords. Located in Gascony in the historic Armagnac region of southwest France, the closest airports are Bordeaux and Toulouse.
In 1978, landscape collector, Frederic Coustols purchased it and meticulously restored the centuries-old buildings. He donated artworks and antiques from his personal collection to furnish the houses.
Now, corporate groups in search of a really unique experience, can rent the entire settlement for corporate events, retreats, and incentive trips.
Art galleries and museums in nearby villages include Atelier Bleus de Pastel in Lectoure, Abbaye de Flaran in Valence-sur-Baise, Musee des Jacobins in Auch, and Musee de Seviac in Montreal du Gers.
Festivals in the area include:
- Tempo Latino in Vic Fezansac in late July
- L’ete photographique in Lectoure in late July and August
- Jazz in Marciac during the first 2 weeks of August

With respect to overnight accommodation, the total capacity is 63. The inventory in the stronghold consists of:

The Banquet Hall, which is perfect for meetings and special events, has a capacity of 150. The lawn terrace that offers views of the river valley can also accommodate 150 guests. Gourmet cuisine is provided by Michelin star chef Fabrice Biasiolo.
