Cool Venues Where Groups can Chill for Summer and Christmas Events

Minus5 Ice Bar OrlandoIce venues including ice cafes, ice castles, and ice restaurants are usually associated with winter events. They are actually much more versatile. When temperatures soar during the summer, groups can cool down at ice cafes. For the Christmas season, ice cafes are the perfect place to hold holiday receptions and parties.

The Cvent Event Blog had previously profiled a number of ice venues. The good news is that more are opening. Here are some new ones for 2014:

Minus5 Ice Bar Pointe Orlando (Orlando)

Minus 5, an ice bar with a tropical ambiance, opened inside Pointe  Orlando in early May this year. Like other ice bars, the walls, seating, glasses and bars are all made out of ice.

What is unique about Minus5 Ice Bar Orlando is the way in which the decor reflects a Florida feeling. Carvings of palm trees and other tropical vegetation creates an ice bar with a difference, Lighting in hues of green, blue and pin, also reflects a tropical theme.

For private events, a fully catered menu is available with hors d'oeuvres, food stations, desserts, and even a buffet. Customized ice art and sculptures are also available for private events.

Chill House (Toronto)

Upon arrival at Toronto's new Chill House, which opened on July 17, 2014, ice lounge, guests are provided with insulated ice capes and gloves. Attendees can then chill in the ice bar that accommodates up to 52 guests. After that, they move on to the bar/lounge where the party continues as guests warm up.

Glasses, seating, booths, walls and the bars are all made of ice. Decor includes ice sculptures of the Stanley Cup and the CN Tower. Customized ice sculptures and signature drinks can be ordered for corporate events. Digital wristbands track purchases so guests don't need to fiddle with cold cash.
