Corporate Event Venues: Cool Off at a Waterpark

The Beach WaterparkWhen the thermometer spikes, it's time to find creative ways to help corporate groups keep their cool. That's easy to do at a Waterpark and, fortunately, there are a number of new ones, opening for their first or second season.

The Beach Waterpark (Ohio)

While the original Beach Waterpark in Mason, OH, opened in 1985, the property was purchased by Adventure Holdings, LLC last year. They company has invested $5 million to completely transform it with 2,600 tons of sand and 2 million gallons of water and more than 150 palm trees.

Major attractions include the Big Kahuna, the Midwest's only water coaster, The Cliff, a water slide with a 5-story drop, and the 1,200-foot-long Kokomo Lazy River. Groups of 15 or more can enjoy a catered Catered Luau. Weekly special events include Reggae Sundays and Club Splash, a nightclub for teens every Tuesday.

Wet‘n’Wild Las Vegas (Nevada)

Wet‘n’Wild Las Vegas opened on Memorial Day this year. Major attractions include Royal Flush Extreme where guests are swirl around a giant bowl into which they are plunged from an enclosed tube, Hoover Half Pipe, rapid rafting along 5 rivers which includes a 57-foot drop, Colorado Cooler, a lazy river that meanders for 1,000 feet, and Red Rock Bay a giant pool with waves that soar to 3 feet.

The park has special packages for groups of 25 or more.

LEGOLAND Water Park (Florida)

Located inside LEGOLAND Florida in Winter Haven near Orlando and Tampa, LEGOLAND Water Park features the 1,000-foot, Build-A-Raft lazy river, the LEGO Wave Pool and Twin Chaser a 375-foot tube ride that plunges guests into a refreshing pool.

With seats for 700, the Wells Fargo 4D Theater with a high-definition cinema screen can be booked for meetings. The Lakeside Pavilion is perfect for corporate picnic lunches.
