There are some venues that you only see from a distance and pass by without notice. I tend to be a creature of habit. I I must confess that I often return to the same restaurant and order the same meal over and over again. This is unfortunate as it's a way to miss some hidden gems. This was the case with at Pierchic at Madinat Jumeirah Al Qasr in Dubai. I've never stayed at Madinat Jumeirah but I have toured the property and arranged corporate events there. I've seen Pierchic in the distance but I've never taken the time to venture to the end of the long pier to explore it. On Sunday night, I had my chance as my client had their opening dinner there.
Guests were picked up in luxury coaches and whisked past gleaming skyscrapers to Madinat Jumeirah. Golf carts took them to the end of the pier and it was a comfortable stroll from there. The venue that provides a stunning view of the Burj Al Arab, can accommodate 250 diners if you use the indoor and outdoor dining tables. Indoors, there is space for 120.
The group was greeted by ladies covered in white and balloons. An acrobat suspended above the crowd poured filled champagne glasses as servers passed delicious hors d'oeuvres. When it was time for dinner, guests were seated at long tables. A local Arabic band provided entertainment.
Guests were offered a selection of appetizers and entrees. The presentation of each dish was exquisite. The foie gras was so soft that there was no need to slice it. Knives just slid through it. The beef was cooked to perfection brown on the outside and juicy and pink on the inside. Rarely does one come across mashed potatoes that are so well seasoned that not even a grain of salt has to be added. For dessert, the choice of a warm chocolate cake paired with ice cream was so delicious there was temptation to violate the etiquette rule that parents pass on to their children. "You may accept a second helping if it's offered but never request it and never accept a third."
Just when guests thought the meal was over, Pierchic added the final wow factor. It was a selection of chocolates clustered around the company logo and served over dry ice. Now this was a finishing touch worth remembering. It's easy to understand why Pierchic has been recognized as Dubai's best seafood restaurant by Time Out Dubai.
Next time you're planning conferences, special events or business meetings in Dubai, consider Pierchic for group dining and galas. It's guaranteed to be a crowd pleaser.
