10 IMEX America Booths That Stood Out on the Trade Show Floor #IMEX15

Ritz CarltonTradeshows are among the best places to pick up ideas for your own events and find out about what's hot and new in the events industry. Once again, the exhibitors at IMEX America really pulled out all the stops. Some booths really stood out on the tradeshow floor.

Here are 10 IMEX America 2015 booths that have been a great source of inspiration.

Top Pick: Ritz-Carlton

Ritz-Carlton's booth reflected it's updated brand voice with new colors, smaller logo, and larger name.

The booth was an open concept environment that permitted the free flow of traffic without congestion.

The upper level provided a 360 degree view of the tradeshow floor. A presentation room and a private meeting room that gave visitors a sense of the design of Ritz-Carlton meeting rooms. Visitors could discuss the specifics of their needs and ensure that confidentiality would be respected.

Ritz Carlton CuisineVisitors had a chance to sample the cuisine that their guests will have an opportunity to enjoy on-property.

The menu consisted of:

  • heirloom beet salad with almond granola, beet top pesto, and beet gel
  • seared scallops with creamy green chili polenta, roasted chicken jus, and herb salad

Newest Hotels: Bangalore, India opened in 2015 and the Cairo property opened last week.

 


 

In no particular order, here are the other booths that really stood out at IMEX America 2015.

2. Latin America: Colombia

ColombiaColombia quickly gained a reputation for the best place on the showroom floor to get a great cup of coffee.

The booth was bright airy and open concept with a coffee bar and a private, glass enclosed room for presentations.

Newest Hotels: Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons Hotel Casa Medina Bogota, Four Seasons Cartagena that will open in December, 2015.

Hot Attractions: Whale watching, coffee plantation tours and tastings.

 


 

3. U.S.: Newport Beach

Newport BeachThe booth design concept, inspired by Crystal Cove Cottage, a set built for the 1988 movie Beaches starring Bette Midler, proved that booths don't have to be large to have high impact. The carpeting simulated sand and the design was intended to make visitors feel like they are sitting on the beach.

Hot Transportation: Electric Pedego bikes,electric Duffy boats are powered by environmentally friendly lithium batteries.

Updated Hotels: Area hotels Balboa Bay Resort, Island Hotel and Pelican Bay Resort are constantly being updated.

 


 

Palm Springs

4. U.S.: Palm Springs

Another small booth with high impact, modernism revival conveyed the destination's theme "Modern Meeting Oasis" The booth incorporated the destination's main attractions: botanicals, fashion, and galleries.

Newest Hotels: JW Marriott, Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage, and Kimpton Pullman which is slated to open in 2016.

Newest Attractions: BMW Performance Center and Palms Springs Aerial Tramway, the world's largest rotating tram.

 


 

Jamaica

5. Jamaica

Jamaica's booth was larger than ever. Vibrant colors, giant photos and video footage, gave close-ups of the islands major attractions.

Newest Hotels: Moon Palace Jamaica Grande recently on the site of the former Jamaica Grande after extensive renovations. Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall and the family-friendly Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall opened at the end of 2014.

New Attractions: Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Tours, Jewel Lagoon Water Park, Dolphin Cove has added a new park for guests at the Moon Palace Jamaica Grande.

 


 

6. Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi booth reflected a mix of the modern and traditional.

New Hotel: Arjan Rotana

New Attractions: The Shiekh Zayed National Museum will open in 2016.

 


 

7. Africa: South Africa

South AfricaSouth Africa incorporated its flag colors and vivid photos of its major attractions into the design of the booth.

What's New: Victoria Falls had a new airport that is close to completion and will give travelers more direct connections to the Victoria Falls area, Zambia, Botswana, and Zimbabwe. New team building includes gold rush themed GPS and app-driven safaris reflecting Johannesburg's history as the City of Gold.

Some booths that can always be counted on for bold designs with vibrant colors, always manage to add the fun factor and create interactive experiences

8. Switzerland

Switzerland Fun

Switzerland used a buzzer game to spice up its group presentations. During the Euro Block party, the green screen photos with Swiss scenes, always a popular hit, were back.

Updated Hotel: Burgenstock will have a fully renovated hotel complex opening in 2017.

What's New The world's first double-decker cable car carries visitors to Stanserhorn.

 


 

9. Holland

Key to the City

Visitors were invited to twist with Mister Holland and also to post their photos with the key of the city for a chance to win a trip for to Amsterdam to become the mayor of the city during their stay.

New Hotel: Rai Hotel with an avant-garde design will open in 2018.


 

10. Maui Jim

Maui Jim

Maui Jim sparked excitement on the tradeshow floor with a Hawaiian-inspired tropical design. Dancers underscored the fact that the brand aims to create memorable experiences.
