Interlaken, an exquisite Alpine location by the lake in the heart of the Jungfrau mountain region, is an ideal location for summer incentives and executive retreats. Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau mountains create a picturesque backdrop for Interlaken which is located on the Bernese Oberland plain, between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. Giessbach Falls is a 14 stage glacial waterfall. The Staubbach Falls plummet almost 300 m to the depths below. It's not surprising that the area has been used as a location for a number of films.
Part of the classic movie Mad About Music, starring Deanna Durbin, was set in Interlaken. After a 15-minute train and cable car ride, groups can enjoy panoramic views from Schilthorn, where a classic scene from the James Bond movie On Her Majesty’s Service was filmed. Panoramic views can also be enjoyed by taking the Harder Kulm cable car. Tandem paragliding is a thrilling way to take in the stunning views.
During the summer, groups can go hiking in the mountains or boating, kayaking and cruising on historic paddle-steamers on the lakes. There are even Swiss-Barbecue dinner cruises. Other adventures include exploring the fixed rope park on Mount Rugen and rafting on the Lutschine River. The William Tell Plays are performed throughout the summer in Interlaken. At Casino Interlaken, visitors can game while they take in views of Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau.
