Luxury Brands Opening New Hotels and Resorts in Mexico

As the cool weather is slowly returning to some areas of the Northern Hemisphere, many corporate groups are in the process of planning retreats, meetings, and incentive trips in the sun belt.

Considering Mexico? With a number of new hotels and resorts opening there, the good news is that corporate event planners will have a lot more choices.

Cabo San Lucas

JW Marriott Los Cabos

With 281 rooms, 18 suites, and 12 meeting rooms, the JW Marriott Los Cabos, which opened last week, has a stunning architectural design. All rooms have Nespresso coffee makers, 55-inch LED TVs, and high-speed Internet.

Within the resort, Griffin Club, a 45-room boutique hotel offers butler service, a private beach, a private chef's table, and more.

The Cape, a Thompson Hotel

This 161-room hotel has a rooftop pool with cabanas that provides stunning view of Los Cabos. This beachfront property get its name from the beach which  is shaped like a cape. Every room has a view of  Bahia San Lucas and El Arco.

There are 4 meeting rooms with intriguing names: Glimpse (capacity 180), A- Frame (capacity 130), Green Room (capacity 12), and Glass Box (capacity 45). The rooftop lounge is perfect for special events.

Playa Del Carmen

Scheduled to open on November 20, 2015, this luxury beachfront complex has 2 zones: a 27-room boutique hotel called Beach House and a 92-room property on Quinta Avenida. The property has 4 meeting rooms.

The property has a meandering infinity pool with loungers and cabanas and Catch, a restaurant that offers sea-to-table dining. It's the perfect venue for a private event.

Hyatt Andaz MayakobaRiviera Maya

Hyatt Andaz Mayakoba

At the end of 2016, Hyatt will unveil the 213-room Hyatt Andaz Mayakoba, the latest addition to this Riviera Maya luxury community.

Rooms will line the canals in the lush Mayakoba development with mangroves protecting species like turtles, crocodiles, jaguars, and exotic birds.

Function space will include 5 studios and a 6,458-square-foot ballroom.
