Dubbed The New Riviera, Baha Mar in Nassau, The Bahamas, has announced that it will open its doors in May instead of March 27 as previously announced.
Baha Mar will have 20,000 square feet of function space spread across 35 function rooms. There will be outdoor meeting spaces in garden, beach and private island settings.
The long anticipated 1,000-acre complex on a 2-mile beach consists of 5 properties:
- Baha Mar Casino & Hotel
- SLS Lux
- Grand Hyatt
- Rosewood - Accepting reservations for June
- Melia Nassau Beach
With over 40 dining establishments onsite, guests will be able to choose from a variety of culinary experiences ranging from seafood to Bahamian, French, Pan-Asian and Japanese cuisine.
During downtime, groups will be able to golf at TPC Baha Mar, relax at the 10,000-square-foot Sense Spa and the 30,000-square-foot Espa, and experience animal encounters with sea turtles and stingrays, toucans, and flamingos at The Sanctuary.
With 1,039 guest rooms and 35 meeting rooms, Baha Mar Casino & Hotel, the largest of the 5 properties, will create a Vegas on the beach experience. The 6-room categories will range from Deluxe King to Ocean King. The property will also have 1- and 2-bedroom suites.
The 707 guest rooms of Grand Hyatt will be available in 8 categories as well as Grand Suite Kings and Grand Executive Suites. 1 - 3 bedroom residences will house families in comfort.
Rosewood at Baha Mar will offer 200 guest rooms including 8 categories of suites (from 1 - 3 bedrooms) and 5 categories of Deluxe rooms.
SLS Lux will offer 295 rooms in 2 Deluxe and 2 Premier categories.
Melia Nassau Beach, Baha Mar's only all-inclusive property (open since December 2014), has 694 rooms and suites, and 3 waterfall pools near the ocean.
