Just in time for summer, the grand opening of the new Camelback Lodge, an 8-story hotel with mountain modern design, recently took place. The full opening is on June 15th.
The property has 40,000 square feet of meeting space. The Lodge at the Conference Center has Lodge has 20,000 square feet of function space. Camelback Lodge has an additional 18,000 square feet of banquet rooms and a ballroom that can be expanded up to 7,500 square feet.
Accommodation at this 453-suite resort includes king bunk suites, 2- and 3-bedroom suites and 3-bedroom grand lofts that sleep up to 12.
Aquatopia, a 125,000-square-foot indoor waterpark, has 17 rides including a stand up surf FlowRider. Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark, Pennsylvania’s biggest outdoor waterpark, is a 15-acre complex at the base of Camelback mountain with 37 rides and water attractions. Ziplines, Segways, and tree-top courses are available. During the winter, skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing are available.
Recreational facilities at the resort also include Arcadia with rock climbing, a 3-story ropes course, indoor laser tag, and a mega-arcade. Facials, massages and wraps are available at Serenity Spa.
On July 1, 2015, Kalahari Resorts is coming to The Poconos. This 457-room resort on 150 acres will have an African theme as well as 65,000 square feet of meeting space, including 9,000-square-foot and 25,000-square-foot ballrooms.
Spa Kalahari & Salon will offer a range of soothing and relaxing treatments.
Phase 2 will have a 200,000-square-foot outdoor/indoor waterpark with retractable roof to allow year-round pleasure. It will feature a water coaster, lazy river, and stand up surf on FlowRiders:
