When designing corporate events or planning meetings, imagination is the only limit. It can bridge the gap between your budget and what you and your client envision. I have previously discussed how you can save on decorating costs by using a venue that reflects your theme. Today I'll take a peek at 2 event venues where you can see this event planning tip in action.
Hotel @SolWaveHouse (Spain)
If you're planning a foreign meeting and you really want to underscore the importance of social media or provide Twitter workshops, consider Melia's 184-room Sol Wave House hotel in Mallorca. It's the first Tweet-themed hotel in the world. The property, designed to help guests connect and network just like they do on Twitter, brings elements of the virtual world into the real world.
The 2-bedroom #TwitterPartySuite room category features one free drink per guest and amenities in Twitter blue. Activities include a #TweetPoolParty and #SocialWave is the weekly party with a guest DJ. Naturally, Wi-Fi is included. To communicate their needs, guests can connect with the hotel concierge before and during their stay on Twitter @SolWaveHouse.
Until January 4, 2014, Hotel TerraVina, a luxury 11 room boutique hotel in Southampton, is offering an exclusive James Bond experience. Upon arrival at Hotel TerraVina, guests can enjoy a welcome Vodka Martini with Avruga caviar. Guest rooms reflect a standard of luxury with which James Bond would be comfortable. Bollinger, James Bond's favorite champagne, is served with the James Bond a la carte dinner. Entrance to the Bond in Motion exhibit at the Beaulieu National Motor Museum is included.
