For winter events, it's not always easy to come up with venues that make it possible for participants to stay close to nature yet remain comfortable and warm. Winter tipis (teepees) are beginning to pop up for winter events. These waterproof pop-up structures can be used on hotel and resort properties or in remote areas.
Winter tipis provide a safe and comfortable environment for winter team building events. For example, Rawhide Ranch USA has created a tipi village in Indiana. Their 20-foot Sioux-inspired tipis which can accommodate up to 8 guests can be rented affordably ($40 per tipi per night). Each tipi comes equipped with a fire pit and picnic table.
They can be dressed up for galas, dinners, weddings, and other winter events for which you need to pull out all the stops.
Some tipis are spacious enough to accommodate over 200 guests comfortably. To keep guess extra warm, fire pits can safely be used and sheepskin rugs on the floor and sheepskin covers on chairs can provide an extra touch of warmth and comfort for your guests.
Still think winter tipis are just for "roughing it"? Think again. With the right lighting and other decor can be transformed into a lavish wonderland.
