One of the pleasures of conferences like PCMA's Convening Leaders is getting the lowdown on industry happenings. This year, it was particularly delightful to hear directly from Successful Meetings editor Vince Alonzo that Reggie Aggarwal, Cvent's founder, had been chosen as one of the 25 most influential people in the meetings industry.

Successful Meetings cited Cvent's phenomenal performance in July 2011, when the event management, venue selection, and web survey software company raised $136 million in funding - the largest investment in history for the meetings and event technology industry. According to Aggarwal, "It is hard to believe how far we have come in the past 12+ years, but it is the focus and dedication of all our teams and divisions which truly make Cvent a world-class organization."
