The Most Complete Tipping Guide You'll Ever See

tip guideGoing somewhere for the weekend? Get ready to tip.

As anyone who has stayed in a hotel, eaten in a restaurant, taken a cab (the list goes on) would know, tipping is a large part of the service experience. While Patti Shock, Cvent blogger and academic consultant for The International School of Hospitality, has recently covered gratuities from the planner POV, the team at Hospitality Management, an organization that promotes vocations in the field of hospitality, has come up with the ultimate tipping guide for the rest of us.

In Tipping: Responding to Hospitality and Service, four categories of service providers are offered (cosmetics, travel, restaurant & bars and day-to-day), as well as basic rules and tip history (do you know where the word "tip" comes from?). The interactive chart was created for May 21, aka "Waiter & Waitress Day."

Please share this handy guide with your attendees. And have a great weekend!
