Alan L. Kleinfeld, MTA, CMP, CMM, has worked in the meetings industry for nearly two decades and has served as either an in-house planner or contractor for a variety of groups, including those for law enforcement, pharmacists, gay and lesbian athletes, ministers, accountants, dancers, the disabled and educators, to name a few. He continues to consult on logistics, strategic meeting management and site selection.
Alan recently earned his Masters from The Graduate School of Business at The George Washington University, with a concentration on tourism. He also has his CMP and CMM and has held management roles organizing events for as many as 5,000 attendees, working closely with company presidents, directors, keynote speakers, volunteers and board members.
Prior to becoming a meeting professional, he was a reporter and journalist, writing for newspapers and magazines across the country. He continues to be published on a regular basis for several online and print publications, focusing on the meetings industry.
