I never really gave much thought to the Bellagio in Las Vegas until the remake of the movie Oceans Eleven. The tuxedos, the money and the water cannons. I’ve walked through the hotel too many times to count. But I’ve never held a meeting there and I’ve never been in a guest room.
Now that they’ve just finished a $70-million renovation on all 2,568 guest rooms in the main tower, I really want to see them. The new rooms, developed by MGM Resorts International Design Group, “reflect an updated, elegant feel pairing modern conveniences with the warmth of home,” according to the Bellagio. “Three unique designs elicit a distinct sensibility based on the colors and patterns utilized throughout each concept.”
It took six months to complete the remodel and I’m willing to bet they did a fantastic job. I’m sure if I were to visit, I’d feel as if I were supposed to be wearing Georgio Armani and have a crystal glass filled with scotch. And maybe a cigar.
Oh, and the Bellagio also has 200,000 square feet of meeting space, in case you'd like to plan an event and another reason to stay awhile.
