San Francisco-based Joie de Vivre Hotels, known for its fun and whimsically styled boutique hotels, is planning to open a newly branded property in Scottsdale, AZ, this fall. It will be the company's first hotel outside of California.
After a multi-million-dollar renovation, The Drinkwater will reopen later this year and will showcase the colorful spirit of the Southwest and offer 195 guest rooms. Most recently, this property was known as the Hotel Theodore (and the Mondrian Scottsdale prior to that). The new name comes from its location on Drinkwater Boulevard, the street itself named after a former mayor.
The venue will offer meeting space, a spa, an on-site restaurant and is situated in Old Town Scottsdale, near arts, shopping, nightlife and entertainment.
