Affordable Meetings, the brainchild of The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI), is now MEET.
HSMAI says MEET is a new way of connecting planners and suppliers "and adding to its efforts this year to rebrand the organization's mission and focus, HSMAI's renowned Affordable Meetings conference and exhibition is taking on a new name and a new vision."
MEET will be unveiled with its National show Sept. 7-8 in Washington, D.C.
HSMAI Executive VP, Fran Brasseu, promises that MEET is more than a new name and that MEET emphasizes the reason why we are all in the meetings industry: because we believe in the power of face-to-face interactions that build strong business and strong relationships.
Some new components of MEET include a revised education program called MEET University, a reverse tradeshow called TEEM Up and MEET On, a virtual extension of the two-day conference.
