New York City is home to some of the best hotels, restaurants, attractions and entertainment in the world. The city is also home to some of the most popular shows on television, which, admittedly, is an accomplishment we are kind of proud of.
So, how do you and your group of clients, conference attendees or spouses join the fun as an audience member at a live taping? Well, each show is different, but if you plot your course months in advance or can be ready to go at a moment's notice, then you might just find yourself and your clients freezing in the Ed Sullivan Theater while Dave Letterman delivers his monologue.
For information on how to get tickets to some of the shows that tape in New York with a live studio audience, start with the information below.
Late Night with David Letterman:
Submit a request for tickets via their online form or visit the Sullivan and submit an in-person request form. You can also try for stand-by seats by calling (212) 247-6497 at 11 a.m. on taping days. Want to entertain a group of eight to 20 people? Then check the web site for info on their group ticket dates that are offered only a few times a year. For details, go to Late Show Tickets.
Late Night With Jimmy Fallon:
Call the request line at (212) 664-3056 or visit NBC.com. We hear that you might also be able to score a few "day-of"stand-by tickets by heading to the NBC Experience Store after 9 a.m. on taping days.
Saturday Night Live:
Tickets are issued by lottery every August. Requests must be submitted by email to snltickets@nbcuni.com. If you don't mind waiting, you can try to get stand-by seats on the day of the show. Visit NBC.com for additional details.
