Banyan Tree Mayakoba, a resort on the shores of the Riviera Maya, will be hosting their 3rd edition of the culinary festival devoted to meat lovers called “A Chance to Meat, Again!”, a two-day event hosted by international guest Chefs and Banyan Tree Mayakoba’s Executive Chef Alfonso de la Dehesa, February 9-10, 2018. Throughout the event, guests will enjoy hands-on activities, a variety of meats featured with a famous Asado-style grilled menu. The weekend’s full itinerary includes:
Friday, February 9th
6:30 PM: Banyan Tree Mayakoba Lobby – Kick-off this culinary journey through the traditions of the different guest Chefs with a special one-time feast created for this occasion only. All the parts of the cow will be cooked on each Chef’s own way. Signature drinks will start flowing, as well as tequila and wine pairing from Mexico.
Saturday, February 10th
1 PM: El Pueblito Cooking School – a hands-on cooking class at the Mayakoba Cooking School, focusing on the craft of butchering to learn where each cut of meat is located. Enjoy this cooking workshop paired with Mexican wines and artisan beers.
6:30 PM: Oriente Restaurant at Banyan Tree Mayakoba – The festival will culminate with an epicurean meat lover’s dinner event featuring live cooking stations. Followed by a fun after party at La Copa Lobby bar, with a cigar roller, dimmed lights and the finest tequila and wines. Allowing all guests to immerse themselves in this experience. As delicious cuts of meat will be cooked on the open grill, paired with Mexican wine and exotic cocktails.
