Pasadena’s New Hotel Renovations Offer More Meeting Spaces and Enhanced Amenities

Selecting a destination for meetings is never an easy choice. With so many options available, meeting planners desire locations that are convenient, tech-savvy, and travel-friendly. These factors and many others have made Pasadena an ideal destination to host meetings and events of various sizes, while also offering the best hotel accommodations outside of Los Angeles.

Known for its semitropical weather, historical landmarks, famous Tournament of Roses® parade, and shops lining Colorado Boulevard, Pasadena is located 10 miles north of downtown Los Angeles and is rapidly transforming into a year-round destination for travelers on vacation and business.

Recently, Pasadena’s growing reputation as a hospitality leader for domestic and international meeting and events was transformed when several of the city’s hotels underwent multimillion-dollar renovations and ground was broken on Hyatt Place, an all-new hotel scheduled to open later this year. The renovations and expansions offer travelers and meeting planners more guest rooms, larger meeting spaces, and improved amenities to enhance their overall experience.

Among the changes are the Sheraton Pasadena’s $20 million renovation of its guest rooms, lobby, and meeting spaces; a $25 million renovation of the guest rooms, lobby, bar, and meeting spaces at Hilton Pasadena; an $11 million guest room beautification at Westin Pasadena; construction of a rooftop pool, meeting space, fitness center, and 30 new rooms at DusitD2 Hotel Constance Pasadena, scheduled for completion in summer 2018; and a new 186-room, upscale Hyatt Place hotel in Pasadena’s most popular retail and entertainment center, The Paseo. The downtown six-story hotel is scheduled for completion by the end of 2018.

Pasadena provides the rare opportunity to host more personalized meetings with all the benefits of a big city. Unique social breakout experiences run the gamut from local team-building activities, such as hiking Eaton Canyon and taking group tours of the iconic Rose Bowl Stadium, to popular wine bars, shopping excursions, and cultural events with special group rates. Pasadena’s convenient layout, in conjunction with an array of world-class business and entertainment venues, make it the perfect destination.
