Photo Wall Ideas to Use at Your Next Event

Every great event has multiple puzzle pieces that all work together to engage attendees. Social media and event photography go hand in hand to increase attendee engagement. Photo walls are meant to engage your attendees and create a social media presence. They’re worth the investment because, if they’re done well, people remember them and will keep posting even after the event ends.

You can make photo walls out of many different materials and they range in price. You don’t have to shell out the big bucks to have the perfect Instagram-able shot though. If you have the budget bandwidth, I say go for the investment, but if your budget is more humble that doesn’t mean you can’t still have a great photo wall.

As a planner you know what it means to get crafty. Photo walls are the perfect excuse to use your creativity and DIY to your heart’s content. Use your creativity and imagination to bring these photo wall ideas to life, and don’t forget to add props!

Steal these photo wall ideas and use them at your next event

Flower Wall

This wall adds a breath of fresh air to any event. Real flowers tend to be expensive. If it’s in your budget, go for it, but if not, you can use fake flowers for a similar effect.

String Backdrop

If you want to make your event a little more boho then this is an excellent idea. This gives your photo wall a comfortable feel and your attendees are bound to love it. If you can’t find an affordable backdrop, try making one yourself!

Wood Wall

Wood photo walls are great because you can make them yourself for cheap! Check your local home improvement store for leftover shipping wood pallets and build your own wall. Typically you can get them for free or at a lower price.

Feather Room

This was a new one I had never seen before. We had it at our annual user conference, Cvent CONNECT. Our attendees loved it because it lent itself to attendee engagement. We added in props and people couldn’t stop taking pictures and posting.

Balloon Wall

Balloons go hand in hand with events because they signify celebration. Bring that celebration to your photo station! Let your creativity run wild and tailor this to your theme for an unforgettable photo opp.

Plant Wall

This trend of photo walls is my favorite because it’s fresh and adds a boho feel to your event. Some ideas to personalize this wall are to add in another element, like a banner or your company logo. You can use all types of plants too, so if you want your event to be more classic, then go with a hedge, but if your event is more chic use palm leaves.

Don’t stop at these photo wall ideas, use your own ideas too. A great tip is to combine some of these and really make them stand out. For example, you could combine wood with flowers. Take these ideas and make them work for any event no matter the theme!
