Still Time to Catch Harvest Festivals and Agricultural Fairs

RAWF Prize winnerThe harvest festival and agricultural fair season begins every year with the appearance of the harvest moon September), but there are still many opportunities left this year to celebrate the bounty of the harvest.

Canada

The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair (Toronto)

November 7 - 16, 2014

This fabulous event at Direct Energy Centre and Ricoh Coliseum at Exhibition Place is a combination of agricultural fair, horse show and gourmet event. Pop-up dining venues will include The Royal Court, The Hitching Ring. Tanbark Club, and the Bit and Bridle Pub.

The Royal Horse Show will feature world-class, championship show jumping, dressage, and the popular canine-equine challenge, teaming Superdogs with world-famous show jumpers.

Horseware Indoor Eventing Challenge will bring the excitement of 3-day eventing an Olympic equestrian discipline.

Hospitality and corporate packages are available. Meeting venues include the Royal Salons in the Galleria Hall of the Direct Energy Centre.

Japan

Coco Farm and Winery Harvest Festival (Tochigi)

November 15 - 16, 2014

Heading to Japan? Enjoy wine, cheese, and great food at Coco Romi Gakuen and Coco Farm & Winery in the Japanese countryside. In addition to Japanese favourites, guests will enjoy paella, tacos, roast beef, grilled lamb, and fried chicken.There will be live music and dancing.

Savannah Harvest Fest 

November 7 - 8, 2014

This inaugural festival, showcasing the best of what Georgia has to offer in produce, food, beer, and music will take place along the Savannah waterfront. Twenty breweries will participate in the “Hopped Up on Georgia Brews" event.

Maine Harvest Festival

November 8 - 9, 2014

Renowned chefs from around Maine will delight festival visitors with culinary creations from local, farm fresh ingredients. Jumbo crab cakes, beef brisket, baby back ribs, and wood-fired Pizza Pie on the Fly are just a few of the dishes that will await the crowds. There will be cooking demos, contests and live Bluegrass music.
