U.S. Hotels and Resorts with All-Inclusive Packages

Resort activitiesIn Canada where I am based, hotels and resorts that offer all-inclusive packages are popular for both leisure and group travel.

The request by a client to find a US all inclusive can leave event planners stumped. There is a common misperception that Club Med's Sandpiper Bay, 45 minutes from Palm Beach on the St. Lucie River, is only all-inclusive U.S. property.

I found that hard to believe. Through searching and digging, I've realized that, to offer the convenience of all-inclusives for groups, it's important to think "outside the box." For example, don't just focus on continental U.S. Hawaii offers some all-inclusive beach resorts.

Also, by throwing mountain lodges, wilderness retreats, ranches, desert resorts, and spas into the mix, there are actually a number of properties all over the U.S. offering all-inclusive packages for all or part of the year (e.g. specials, exclusive offers, deals, spa packages, golf packages). While some don't replicate Caribbean all-inclusive model that includes unlimited alcoholic beverages, they still deliver tremendous value. (Some packages offer wine with dinner.)

Cvent Blog will profile some of these properties over the coming months but here are 35 properties to get you started:

Beach Resorts

Mountain Lodges & Retreats

Wilderness & Lakeside Retreats

      For groups with couples only:

The Balsams in New Hampshire is closed for renovations.

Ranches & Equestrian Facilities

Desert Resorts

Spas

Remember to request quotes for your event well in advance and to be flexible about dates as some packages are offered as specials only at certain times of the year.

Don't forget about all-inclusive resorts in the US Virgin Islands as well as Puerto Rico and American Samoa that are both unincorporated US territories. These areas are accessible to groups from the US and Canada without visas. We'll explore these destinations and their resorts in upcoming Cvent Blog features.
