Many of you have caught wind of this exciting news already, but the Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong hosted its grand opening celebration yesterday, May 4, 2011, with bells and whistles. The opening ceremony highlighted the Chinese culture and tradition, giving way to what will hopefully be a highly renowned hotel situated almost literally on top of the world.
The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong is the tallest hotel in the world; it sits on the top of Hong Kong's highest building, the International Commerce Center in Kowloon. Jaw-dropping views of the Harbor or Hong Kong island attract visitors to this 312 room, 80 suite hotel.
With the tallest hotel comes a few others of the world's highest, like the world's highest Jacuzzi and the world's highest bar, Ozone, on the 116th and 118th floors, respectively.
A few highlights? The exquisite Diamond Ballroom, fit for a reception for 635 or a fine dinner for 504. Complete with complex and sparkling chandeliers, there is nothing visible about this meeting room that won't wow your attendees. Being such a tall hotel, you worry, you say, about your attendees being able to pop up into their hotel rooms on break? Fear not, the hotel has installed state-of-the-art elevators that travel at a speed of 9 meters per second!
