Launched in mid-April, TweetMyEvents.com is a free tool that event and meeting planners can use to advertise for their events for free. In the first 11 days of the site being launched, nearly 200 events were posted. The way it works is that the event planner logs in via his/her event's (or his/her personal) Twitter account. Enter information about your event, which is then added to the website's database and sent as an automatic tweet from your account. Easily edited, the automatic tweet can include a link back to the TweetMyEvents database, or, better yet, to your event website or registration page. The website also offers the option to upload information about the conference or meeting onto Facebook.
TweetMyEvents helps you leverage the power of viral marketing by taking a Twitter post a step further: information about your event is now searchable on the TweetMyEvents's website.
TweetMyEvents is projected to grow quickly in the next several months, and is currently running everything from World Cup parties to educational seminars on social media. This free service is another easy way to advertise your event to your followers and expand your network!
