Day in the Life of the Event Planner

Event planners are the consummate jugglers. According to the results of a recent Cvent survey of more than 700 event planners, over half plan 5+ events at a time. They also have their hands in the mix on all phases of the event life-cycle – from strategy to sourcing, budgeting, execution, promotion, mobile apps, onsite management and determining and reporting ROI.

These are just two headlines Cvent found in gauging the biggest challenges facing event planners, how they measure success, and understanding the tools they rely on to get the job done.

The study also uncovered interesting sentiments between planners’ top obstacles and the success metrics they value most.  And just because certain activities are time consuming, it does not make them difficult. This was exemplified by stages such as onsite oversight and managing logistics.
