New Study – Making Marketing’s Case: Profitable Events Powered by Technology

Marketing and events go hand-in-hand. In fact, in a new report sponsored by Cvent, the Aberdeen Group found that 72% of its marketing respondents are responsible for managing or contributing to events. With so much scrutiny on the bottom line and return on event (ROE), Aberdeen’s research makes a clear case why organizations should be taking advantage of the increased returns provided by the use of event management technology.

A few key findings include:

  • Users of event marketing technology average a 66% return on marketing investment.
  • Marketers using event management technology shorten the buyer’s journey by 5.3% year-over-year.
  • Event marketing tech users average a 9.9% year-over-year increase in marketing’s contribution to revenue.

Living and breathing words is more to me than a way to pay the bills, it’s a passion. Whether it’s a blog post, a tweet, an eBook, or a feature article, video script or white paper – yes, this includes even finally finishing that film treatment over the weekend. It’s going to be great, I promise. I’ve written just about everything, in addition to the above, this includes radio spots, T.V., outdoor, direct mail, websites, press releases, print ads, and collateral in a wide variety of industries, including: corporate, education, associations, broadcast TV, SAAS, hospitality, entertainment and retail. When I’m not writing I'm leading content teams, and mentoring other writers.
